Event: Kids Design the Future at Detroit Design Festival
Venue: CCS Ford Campus

WDET will be part of DDF's Youth Innovation Center,
a Design Happening on September 21st that gives kids the opportunity to
join in on the action and excitement at the Festival and express their
creativity in an open capacity. Kids of all ages will be encouraged to
design a place, space or object that they would like to see in the
future to be displayed in our Kids Design The Future Gallery and WDET
reporters will be there to interview each designer about their work.
The Center will also a LEGO-Land display from the Michigan LEGO Club; a
Doodle Pod from coG-studio in which kids will construct a sculpture made
of art supplies and doodle in new, interactive techniques;and a video
of a project that has renewed a blighted structure by youth of the
Community Arts Partnerships (CAP) program.
