Tool & Die Maker Needed

General Summary:

Local Detroit Manufacturing Company is looking for a qualified Tool and Die Maker. 

Responsibilities:

·         Develop dies, tools and processes as required

·         Build replacement tools and dies for production use as required or internally capable

·         Provide assistance, guidance, and advice to Junior Tool and Die Makers and Apprentices

·         Ensure timely completion of repairs, new dies, tooling, fixtures, etc...

·         Other duties as identified by Management

Qualifications:

·         Tool & Die Maker certification and/or equivalent of 5 years related work experience

·         Knowledge of blue print reading and interpretation

·         Knowledge of operating tool room and production equipment (grinding, milling, lathe)

·         Possess good mathematical and mechanical aptitude

·         Knowledge of GD+T

·         Excellent trouble shooting for dies, cutting tools
