NOTE: TIME CHANGE – LIFE SKILLS CLASSES

Presented by the Detroit Department of Recreation

Late Night Self-Development Program: Until December 20, 2013

Purpose: Future Leaders in Progress (FLIP) promotes positive pathways for youth and young adults to acquire fundamental life proficiencies; effective communication, social and diverse networking skills.

There are many self-development things available at three (3) different locations—each center has its own days—2 days/week:

Crowell Recreation Center, 16630 Lahser, Detroit MI 48219 (Wednesdays and Saturdays)

Heilmann Recreation Center, 19601 Crusade, Detroit MI 48205 (Tuesdays and Fridays)

Williams Recreation Center, 8431 Rosa Parks, Detroit MI 48206 (Wednesdays and Saturdays)

What Time?

Life Skills Classes: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Athletic Activities: 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM

  • Table Game Instruction & Tournaments

  • Healthy Mind and Body Building Sessions
  • Job Readiness Training
