JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Outreach Coordinator, Customer
Advocate’s provide high-
standard and professional individualized customer service in
varying areas.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deliver door hangers throughout Wayne, Macomb and Oakland
County on energy efficiency programs from a major utility. Two or three person
team.
2. Answer inbound calls and schedule appointments via the
CRM database.
3. Log all customer calls (incoming and outgoing) in
database and update database with modifications or changes (i.e., reschedules,
cancellations) and present status of the customers or perspective customers.
4. Ensure that goals are achieved and a high quality
customer service is delivered on behalf of the client.
5. Identify, research, and resolve customer issues where
possible. Issues that cannot be resolved by the CSR must be immediately
escalated the Outreach Lead or Coordinator.
6. Provide research support for varying projects in energy
efficiency and program management.
7. Attend events as needed to promote and generate interest
in the varying residential, multi-family or small business programs.
8. Recommend process improvements.
9. Performs related work as required.
WORK LOCATIONS
1. Downtown Detroit Area
2. Throughout Metropolitan Detroit Area (for door hanger
project and Outreach)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. At least 24 credit hours.
2. Reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed).
3. Ability to understand as well as grasp basic customer
information.
4. Ability to work well under pressure.
5. Ability to handle challenging customer situations with
poise and professionalism.
6. Effective communications skills (oral and written).
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associates Degree.
2. Experience in customer service.
3. Knowledge energy industry.
